Final Profit

Today's route
Eight stops to a clean close
A punch list is the final, specific list of corrections needed before you accept the work. Walk slowly, test what was installed, and record one clear action per line.
The closeout sequenceInspect → document → assign → correct → re-inspect → approve → pay.
Before final contractor payment
- Match completed work to the signed Scope of Work and approved changes.
- Collect final invoices, warranties, manuals, keys and access codes.
- Resolve damaged or incomplete work in writing.
- Ask your attorney/title professional which lien waivers or releases apply in your state and contract.
- Keep proof of payment and contractor closeout records together.
